Heather O’Neill Jelks is the President of Nautilus Coaching & Consulting, LLC, an executive coaching and consulting company dedicated to the development of masterful leaders. She has over 20 years of experience in the fields of organization and leadership development with a background in leadership coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and training design and delivery. Her coaching clients include both emerging and experienced leaders and their teams in business, education, health care, the federal government, and the non-profit sector. Heather is a certified leadership coach accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and was trained through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). She also holds a somatic coach certification through The Strozzi Institute. Heather has trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn and was recently certified as an instructor for the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Program, a science based mindfulness curriculum that originated in Google and is designed to cultivate emotional intelligence. Heather graduated from Georgetown University and holds a Master’s Degree in Organization Development from the American University/NTL program as well as a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution from George Mason University. She is a trained professional mediator and is certified in the following leadership and team development tools: The Leadership Circle Profile 360 and Culture Survey; the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator; the EQ-I Inventory for Emotional Intelligence; Bridge’s Managing Change & Transition; the Highlands Ability Battery; the Strengths Deployment Inventory; the Team Diagnostic Survey; and, Resilient Leadership.
Heather is the co-author of the recently published book, Missing Conversations: 9 Questions All Leaders Should Ask Themselves and has presented at several national conferences on the topic of leadership. She and her family live in Alexandria, Virginia.
